On Saturday, July 11, the energy of professional cycling descends on the historic Bottleworks District. Our volunteers are the engine that powers this event, ensuring a world-class experience for racers and neighbors alike.

 

The Perks

Ways to Help

From the first barrier set up in the morning to the final podium presentation, there are many ways to get involved:

  • Course Marshaling: Ensure the safety of racers and spectators along the circuit.

  • Event Setup & Tear-Down: Help transform the streets into a world-class venue.

  • Kids Races: Support the next generation of cyclists by assisting with registration and logistics.

  • Beautification: Help us keep our new downtown home pristine throughout the event.

  • Host HousingProvide a "home away from home" for traveling professional riders.​

Volunteer Guidelines​
  • Age Minimum: Minimum 13 years of age.

  • Supervision of Minors: All volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by their own adult supervisor (parent, guardian, or group leader) for the duration of their shift.

  • Service Credits: Students needing school service hours may request documentation from our Volunteer Director following the event.

Community Give-Back: Fundraising for Your Group

We offer a "Give-Back" program designed for non-profits, school groups, and community organizations to earn money while supporting the festival.

  • Hourly Compensation: Your organization earns a set hourly rate for every hour of completed volunteer service.

  • No Earnings Cap: There is no limit to the number of volunteer hours your organization can contribute.

  • Requirements:

    • To qualify for payment, your group must contribute a minimum amount of total volunteer hours throughout the event.

    • Your organization must provide a copy of your W-9 and proof of not-for-profit status. 

  • Recognition: All Give-Back partners will be recognized on the Momentum Indy website as an official Community Partner.

The Impact: Beyond the Race

Momentum Indy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Your time fuels our mission to empower women through the Divas mentorship program and provides scholarships that remove financial barriers, making cycling accessible to all. Learn more about the Divas here >
