Ride for a Legacy

Why do we ride? We ride to celebrate the life and indomitable spirit of Marshall “Major” Taylor, an Indianapolis native, a world champion, and the world’s first African-American sports superstar.

Major Taylor didn't just break records; he broke barriers. At Momentum Indy, we honor his legacy by pushing our own limits. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a weekend enthusiast, this ride is a tribute to his grit and a celebration of the community he helped inspire. Join us as we head southeast from Indianapolis on brand-new scenic routes designed to challenge your legs and lift your spirit.
