Families, children, and recreational bicyclists will love this leisurely bike ride through downtown Indianapolis exploring art, history, and more along the route. People of all ages, skills, and levels of ability are welcome to join us on this fun 5-mile community ride on Indianapolis trails.

Event Info
  • Ages: All ages welcome! (Minimum age to ride a bike is 6. Children 5 and under are welcome to participate in a child trailer, child seat, cargo-bike seat, or on a trail-a-bike).

  • Cost: Low cost, with special discounts for Central Indiana Cycling and Divas members. Registration is required. (Free for youth aged 5 and under).

  • Ride Partner: Managed by our friends at Central Indiana Cycling

  • Experience: A non-competitive, untimed family-friendly ride focused on community and exploration.

  • Time: 10:00 AM Start (Check-in begins at 9:00 AM).

  • Location: Bottleworks District. Note: Detailed ride and check-in information will be emailed to all registrants.

  • Adult = $15 ($5 with code)

  • Youth = $5 (free with code)

  • Youth 5 & under = free (but needs to be in a trailer or child seat) - minimum rider age is 6-years-old

Ride Rules & Etiquette
  • Helmets: MANDATORY. No helmet, no ride. Safety is our top priority.

  • Supervision: Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.

  • Traffic Laws: This ride occurs primarily on trails and greenways but will cross streets open to vehicular traffic. Participants must ride predictably, obey all traffic laws, and follow instructions from ride marshals.

  • Approved Equipment: Participants must be on bicycles or adult trikes.

    • Allowed: Class 1, 2, & 3 e-bikes (adults only, pedal-assist only—no throttle use).

    • Not Allowed: For safety reasons, no youth tricycles, e-mopeds, e-motos, runners, pets, or scooters.

  • Maintenance: Before the ride, perform an ABC Quick Check on your family's bikes or visit a local bike shop for a safety check.

  • Courtesy & Passing: Please be courteous to other trail users and motorists.

    • Bicycles yield to pedestrians on the multi-use trail.

    • When passing, always call out "on your left" or ring your bell. Wait until it is safe to pass.

    • We may split the group when passing and will stop to regroup periodically
