Momentum Indy is a premier community celebration of bicycling and human-powered movement. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we are dedicated to fostering a welcoming environment where the joy of cycling is accessible to everyone.
Founded and led by Executive Director Jennifer Cvar, Momentum Indy stands as a prominent woman-led organization in a traditionally male-dominated sport. Under her leadership, the organization has grown from a local race into a powerhouse festival that empowers women and unites the Indianapolis community through the power of the pedal.

Our Story
The journey began in 2010 when Jennifer Cvar co-founded the Indy Criterium Bicycle Festival. What started as a local race evolved into a cornerstone of the Indianapolis summer calendar, built on the energy and grit of the Indy Crit and the historic Mass Ave Crit. These iconic races served as our foundation for over a decade and remain a vital part of the legacy that built Momentum Indy.
As the city changes, we evolve with it. We have transitioned our racing heart to the iconic Bottleworks District, a move that marks an exciting new chapter for our professional and amateur fields. This evolution allows us to pair world-class cycling with one of the most dynamic and historic backdrops in Indianapolis, ensuring our festival remains at the cutting edge of the sport.
Beyond the race course, our commitment to the community reached a new milestone in 2023 with the launch of Divas. What began as a mission to make cycling less intimidating for women has grown into a thriving movement, providing a safe, supportive space for women of all abilities to grow as cyclists.
Today, from the high-speed corners of Bottleworks to our weekly Diva rides, Momentum Indy continues to build a legacy of health, empowerment, and the simple joy of riding a bike.
In Loving Memory: Anthony J. Bridgeman
Momentum Indy honors the life and legacy of Anthony Bridgeman, a cherished board member, tireless community advocate, and dear friend. Anthony’s belief in the power of cycling to unite people remains a guiding light for our organization.
We continue to carry his spirit with us in a very personal way: his fingerprint is placed over the "H" in the Honor Major Taylor logo on our cycling jerseys and t-shirts. This small but significant detail ensures that Anthony is with every rider, reminding us of the kindness and community focus he championed.
