Get ready to see the next generation of speed! Whether your child is just starting out on a balance bike or ready to take on the competitive junior circuit, Saturday at Momentum Indy is all about the kids.

Bring the whole family down to the Bottleworks District for a day of high-speed action, delicious treats, and memories at Indy’s coolest new venue.

Free Kids Races (Ages 3–12)

Time: 1:00 PM – 1:20 PM

Location: Start/Finish Line on Carrollton

The Kids Races are the heart of the festival! We clear the pro course and let the kids take over. From trikes to mountain bikes, every child gets their moment in the spotlight as they dash toward the finish line.

Ages: 3 to 12 years old.
Cost: FREE! (Registration is required).
Waves: Kids race in groups by age: 3–4, 5–6, 7–9, and 10–12.
Fun First: This is a non-competitive, untimed event focused on fun!

Competitive Junior Racing

For our seasoned young cyclists, we host a full slate of competitive Junior Races throughout the day. These races follow the same technical course as the pros:

Age Groups: 9–10, 11–12, 13–14, 15–16, 17–18 (Male & Female heats).
Timing: Races run throughout the afternoon following the 1:00 PM Kids Race.

Race Day Logistics & "Know Before You Go"

We recommend arriving at least 45 minutes early to allow time for parking and check-in!

Check-In (11:00 AM – 12:30 PM): Location TBD. Every child receives a race number and a special treat upon checking in!
Staging (12:45 PM): Meet at the corner of the Start/Finish line to get lined up for the 1:00 PM start.
Parent Reunion: Parents will be reunited with their racers immediately following the finish at our designated "Family Meeting Point."
What to Bring: Child's bike, sunscreen, water, and a great attitude!
Helmets: MANDATORY. No helmet, no race. Safety is our #1 priority.

Momentum Indy is more than a race—it’s a full-day family adventure. While the wheels are spinning, your family can explore the best of the district:

The Garage Food Hall: With 20+ vendors, even the pickiest eaters will find a win. Grab tacos, burgers, or a massive scoop of ice cream.
Pins Mechanical: Take a break from the heat with a round of duckpin bowling or classic arcade games.
Spectator Fun: The Bottleworks course is incredibly "close to the action." Grab a spot along the barriers and feel the wind as the pro peloton flies by at 30+ mph!
